Telecom & Cabling
About our telecom work.
Are you fully licensed and insured?
Yes. AMNY technicians are fully licensed for the installation of all phone and internet services, including Cat5e/Cat6 data cabling and fibre. We carry insurance on every job, residential or commercial.
Do you handle NBN upgrades and old 610 sockets?
Yes. We replace outdated 610 outlets and upgrade internal cabling to meet NBN speeds. For multi-storey buildings, we also upgrade structured cabling and MDFs to support modern bandwidth demands.
Can you install or repair fibre?
Yes. We install fibre infrastructure, repair existing fibre runs, and install patch panels and sockets. Common in office fit-outs and multi-storey strata buildings.
What’s the difference between Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6/a?
Cat5e supports speeds up to 1 gigabit per second, suitable for most homes. Cat6 supports the same speed with better noise isolation. Cat6/a (augmented) supports 10 gigabits and is recommended for multi-storey buildings and offices that need to be future-proof.
Do you test the network after installation?
Always. Every data outlet is wire-mapped and speed-validated up to 1 gigabyte using a speed validator. We don’t leave site until your outlets are wired correctly and tested. Test reports are available on request.
Can you boost WiFi coverage in my home or office?
Yes. We install both internal and external WiFi systems using only approved data cabling, and we run coverage testing before sign-off. This is often a cheaper alternative to chasing dead spots with extenders.

Do you supply furniture and building materials?
Yes. AMNY operates a trading division that supplies furniture and building materials for construction projects, fit-outs and renovations. We work with builders, contractors and project owners on supply across NSW.
Do you offer trade pricing?
Yes. We offer competitive trade pricing for builders, sub-contractors and project owners. Volume-based discounts are available on larger orders. Get in touch with project details for a quote.
Can deliveries be co-ordinated with my construction schedule?
Absolutely. We schedule deliveries around your construction programme so materials arrive when your crew can take them in — not before, not after.
What types of furniture do you trade?
Residential furniture pieces, hospitality and commercial fit-out furniture, and project-volume sourcing for office or retail tenancies. Tell us what your project needs and we’ll quote it.

We’re based in Oakhurst, NSW (2761) and cover the greater Sydney region — CBD, Parramatta, Blacktown, Penrith, Hills District, North Shore and Western Sydney. Outside this area? Give us a call to check.

Are quotes really free?
Yes. Site walk-throughs and written quotes are free, with no obligation to proceed. We don’t do high-pressure sales.
How quickly can you start a job?
Same-week appointments are usually available for telecom installs. Larger jobs and trading orders depend on scope and supply — we’ll commit to a timeline before you sign.
Do you work outside business hours?
For commercial fit-outs and tenancies that require minimal disruption, we can schedule after-hours or weekend work. Mention this when you call so we can plan it in.
What payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer is preferred for invoices. For trading orders we’ll discuss payment terms when quoting. Full payment terms are described in our Terms & Conditions.
